Biomedical applications have attracted great attention recently due to the large number of health problems and the insufficient availability of the suitable treatment. Wide range of materials can be used in biomedical applications, known as biomaterials, which have to fulfill some key characteristics such as biocompatibility, osteoconductivity and high porosity to be successful for use in biomedical applications. They generally include metals and alloys, ceramics and glasses, polymers and composites. Polymeric biomaterials are the most preferred due to the ease of manufacturing, reasonable cost, and their ability to possess a wide range of physical and mechanical properties. In this research study electrospinning of hydroxyapatite sol gel will be carried out to produce hydroxyapatite electrospun nanofibers in presence of different kinds of binding polymer. XRD, thermal and morphological analysis will be carried out to show the effect of different polymeric binders on the phase behavior of the produced hydroxyapatite electrospun nanofibers.
