Investigation of protein-material interactions

Betreuer: Prof. Sanna Virtanen (Institute of Surface Sci. and Corrosion), Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini

The research deals with the interactions of proteins with biomaterial surfaces, including metallic and non-metallic materials. The effect of surface charge, composition, surface chemistry, as well as pH of the solution will be investigated and the protein adhesion to the surface will be analyzed. This project is carried out in close collaboration with Prof. S. Virtanen (Institute of Surface Science and Corrosion).
