3D printing of an osteosarcoma model
Supervisors: Lisa Schöbel, Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini
Osteosarcoma is one of the most aggressive primary bone tumors, with low survival rates due to ineffective therapies. Developing reliable preclinical models is crucial for improving treatment strategies. Based on preclinical studies conducted at the University of Eastern Piedmont (Novara, Italy), this project aims at developing a 3D-printed biodegradable scaffold to recreate the osteosarcoma microenvironment, with the objective of enhancing preclinical testing and ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes.
