Electrospinning of chitosan/Essential Oil solutions for obtaining antibacterial fibers

This project focuses on the electrospinning of chitosan/Essential Oil solutions to obtain fibrous structures with antibacterial capability for biomedical applications. The incorporation of various types of essential oils will be investigated and the electrospinning process will be optimised in each case to develop novel nanofibers. The fibers will be fully charaterised including the antibacterial and biocompatibility properties.
